Greetings from Colebrook Town Hall.

In the wake of this past weekend’s winter storm, curbside recycling and garbage pickup will be delayed one day this week. Today’s (Thursday) pickup will take place tomorrow (Friday). Friday pickup will be on Saturday.

Thank you to our Public Works team for their tireless efforts during this lengthy storm. Thank you also to residents for your help in refraining from blowing, plowing or shoveling snow into the street, especially after it has been plowed. Thank you also for your courtesy to our plow drivers

Sand mix is available at the Town Garage (43 Sandy Brook Road) for Colebrook residents, by hand bucket. Limit 2 buckets, per household, per winter storm event. Please bring your own shovel.

The Community & Senior Center is a designated warming center for the town and is open Monday- Thursday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Fridays.

The position is part-time (up to 18 hours per week for managing the kitchen, food prep, shopping and volunteer coordination). If you’re interested in learning more, please contact me at bbremer@colebrooktownhall.org.

Breakfast is available at the Center every Tuesday from 8-9:15 a.m. for $6. Lunch is served every Thursday at noon for $7 (advance registration required for lunch). When Region 7 and Colebrook School are closed due to inclement weather, the Center is also closed. Breakfast is also cancelled when Region 7 and Colebrook School have a delayed opening on Tuesday.
