A recanvass of the vote for the office of First Selectman and Selectman that was contested at the November 2, 2021, recanvass to occur pursuant to Connecticut General Statute 9-311b, recanvass on tie vote.

The recanvass will review the machine vote, absentee vote and write-in ballots for this office and no others.

NOVEMBER 2, 2021 – MUNICIPAL ELECTION

The Electors of the Town of Colebrook, Connecticut, are hereby warned to meet at the Town Hall Meeting Room (2nd floor), 562 Colebrook Road, Colebrook, CT on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 for the purpose of casting their votes for the following offices:

First Selectman, Selectman, Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, Tax Collector, Board of Finance (Full terms), Board of Finance, (to fill a vacancy for four years), Board of Education (Full terms), Board of Education, (to fill a vacancy for two years), Board of Assessment Appeals, and Constables.

Optical Scan voting machines will be used. Election Day Registration (EDR) will be held in the Registrar of Voters office located on the first floor of Town Hall, 562
Colebrook Road, Colebrook, CT.

The Polls and the EDR location will be open at six o’clock in the morning (6:00 a.m.)
and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8:00 p.m.)

     A certified list of Democratic party-endorsed candidates for the Town of Colebrook for election as First Selectman; Selectman; Town Clerk; Tax Collector; Board of Finance (1); Board of Education (2); Board of Education, (to fill a Vacancy)(2); Board of Assessment Appeals and Constables (2) is on file in my office at 562 Colebrook Road, Colebrook, CT, and copies thereof are available for public distribution.

The certified list as received includes fewer names of party-endorsed candidates than the party is entitled to nominate for the following offices:
